How to find the blissful moments of doing absolutely nothing
Inspiration of the week
Have you ever been so busy that the minute you take some time to rest, you feel guilty about not doing the never-ending to-do list and then you panic and try to run to your nearest thing that needs completing. Well, I am here to tell you that not everything needs to be done right away and it’s time to start seizing the moments of doing absolutely nothing and not feeling guilty about it.
This week If you have a moment to yourself, just embrace the moment and that means doing absolutely nothing until it feels right to move forward. Don’t let your thoughts interrupt you with the feeling of guilt, see your thoughts like clouds moving along and before you know it, those feelings are gone.

How to set your morning intention to your advantage!
Inspiration of the week
Your morning routine shapes the rest of your day. When you wake up with the dreaded feeling of going to work, university or an appointment, your day just inevitably gets worst by the minute. However, if you shift your mindset to a positive one, by rewiring your thoughts and doing something that brings you joy in the morning, the outcome is so much better. My favourite and easiest way to get into a high vibe state is by listening to music that makes me feel good. A bit of Beyonce in the morning always makes me feel on top of the world 🙂
This week I want you to find what brings you joy and use it in your morning routine to set your intention for the day.

The year is coming to an end and it’s time to reflect back on how it has all planned out. Find out what my core values are for this year.
Earlier this year I made a post about setting attainable values for how you want your 2018 to plan out. This included writing down your yearly goals with your top 3 overall core value insight.
I never did share what my 3 core values but as we near the end of 2018, I want to be honest about what I have achieved and what is an ongoing process. On January the 1st I wrote out my top 3 core values I wanted to possess in 2018; the 3 values were personal development, stability, and self-love. During the time of writing those 3 values, I did not know exactly what I meant by it but, I had a vague idea. I also wrote down some goals which included, becoming more healthy physically, mentally and spiritually and being more open to new things. This linked in really well with my overall core values.
I totally forgot about writing these values down and in the beginnings of December I was flicking through some pages and stumbled across it. I decided to reflect on how well I achieved this. I realise that consciously I totally forgot about them but, subconsciously I was influenced every day to live by these values, no matter what I did. Every day I was learning about myself more and more and improve on the foundations I have set and feeling secure and stable in what I do. So, I guess I can say I have achieved it. Additionally, these values will still be something I will live by in the next year, it’s just this time around I will have new added values which will compliment my previous ones.
2019 is only 5 days away, why not sit down and start to plan what core values you want to possess in 2019. Firstly, start out with 5 and narrow it down to your top 3 and let that be the staple of your new year.
Below I have extended the list of values to give you a head start.
Stop comparing your path to anyone else. We are all on a unique path that teaches us different lessons at different times in our lives. All we see are the achievements of people desires, we don’t know what happens in the background. Just because you have the same desire as one person and they got there quicker than you, doesn’t make you any less than them. No one on this earth is perfectly formed like you and that is your gift. Flaunt it! Own it! Show it! You are in the right place at the right time and your path is unfolding beautifully.

*Disclaimer* Before we get into it, I know I missed last weeks inspiration station. Life got a bit too busy and before I knew it, a week flew by.
Inspiration of the week
Receiving unexpected things from loved ones always brings a smile to our face. A sense of love and gratitude elevates our mood when we receive something out of the blue. Imagine if we could share those feelings we feel, by returning the favour to someone else.
This weeks inspiration is to send a thank you message to someone or more than one person who has helped you in your life. This can be a family member, a friend, a mentor or even a teacher. Perhaps they encouraged you to step out your comfort zone and now you are totally killing it or maybe they send you funny memes when you’re not feeling great; whatever the case maybe be, you are grateful for them.
I sent a thank you message to one of my closest friend who I haven’t spoken to in a while ( it was probably a week ago but felt like ages). Before I even sent the message I sat and reflected on how grateful I am for this person in my life and after receiving their reply, the appreciation grew by 1000%.
You never know what kind of day that person is having and just a simple message can brighten up their day

It time to celebrate your wins in life. Everything you have overcome and achieved deserves a celebration because, once upon a time you might have thought you couldn’t reach that goal and here you are, not only achieving that goal but you have learned a lesson from it. You are braver and stronger than you tell yourself. There’s this social awkwardness that we aren’t supposed to share the things we have achieved in fear we appear selfish or that we are better than the next person but, in order to acknowledge where we come from, we have to celebrate our success and truly feel proud of ourselves.
So this week, I want all of us (including myself) to celebrate everything we have achieved so far, no matter if it’s just getting out of bed or something as moving to another country. The things that you are most proud of deserves a celebration.
Why not dance it out to your favourite song?

The end of the year is fast approaching only 3months left, so you decide to look at your goals from the start of the year and you realise that either you’ve forgotten about one of the goals, the goal doesn’t resonate with you anymore or the goal is still a goal and you haven’t accomplished it yet. You then start to think what have I been doing throughout the year, have I made any changes to my life. Well, the answer is yes, although it might not have been the goals you wrote down at the start of the year, every day you are overcoming obstacles and fears that are changing you without you even knowing it.
Yet you still have those goals looming over you; fear not! because although we have 3 months left, you have 103 days starting from today to turn those goals into a reality. The common reason behind why goals take longer and harder to become a reality is because we set an intention without any action, which means that we write down the goal without breaking down the steps in order to reach the goal.
For example, a goal can be to eat healthier.
How do you break down the steps in order to make this a reality? Below is an example of the actions you will take in order to reach the goal.
Look up healthy recipes online
Slowly cut down one at a time, snacks and junk food
Introduce more fruit and vegetables to my diet
Opt for a grilled version instead of fried
And so forth.
In order to leave this year on a high, start off by breaking down each goal that you haven’t achieved as of yet and start working towards making it a reality. It all starts now.
That is 103 days. 14 weeks. 2,472 hours to achieve all your goals by the end of the year.
When listing things you are grateful for each day, it can be quite repetitive because you tend to repeat the things you have mentioned before and you end up in an endless cycle of repeating the same things, even though you have an abundance of things you are grateful for. A gratitude list does not have to be dull like a to-do list, there are many different ways in which you can switch up your gratitude list, so it feels less like a chore and more like a love/appreciation for your life.
I have recently discovered a new fun way to show my appreciation to life and I call it the Gratitude Train, now I don’t know if there is an official name but feel free to use this name. The gratitude train starts off like this. Every day you will list 4 or more (depending on how many you want to do) things that you are grateful for, based on a letter of the alphabet; Each letter will have you discover new things you are grateful for, it can be anything simple from a favourite chair you sit in to money in your pocket or even water but beginning with the specific letter of the day. Below is an example of the gratitude train, you can write it down or say it out loud. Make it as fun as possible.
Gratitude is the best feeling to connect yourself to!
You might have noticed that I have not been blogging much or sharing pictures and videos on my social media and that’s because I have been living in the moment. It’s so easy to fall into the hole of uploading every second of our lives to social media but, in that short moment between uploading something and finding the perfect caption; you have missed so many beautiful moments around you. When you live in the present moment, the past and the future is irrelevant, right here right now, is all that counts! Being mindfully present allows you to appreciate your surroundings more which effectively makes you feel happier, calmer and less anxious.
Ever heard of the old saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’. I sometimes take pictures during a moment but I don’t upload them anywhere, I keep them in a folder so that I can go back and reminisce on how amazing that moment felt to me. What’s quite funny is that by looking back at a picture, you find a lot of things that you did not notice because you’re too busy focusing on one particular thing.
The next time you are walking, driving or at a social event; pay close attention to what’s around you, listen to the sounds, observes the people, notice to the energy in the space. Find the appreciation in the moment you are experiencing, do not worry about what you have to do in the future because all of that can wait. The best way to enjoy life is to be present.
Try and start capturing moments with your eyes rather than your phone, you’ll be surprised at what you discover!
